However I have been unable to find them listed to gether on any census returns. I have also found a burial for a Keziah R oot born 1785 d 1867 buried in Ipswich on the 14 Nov 1867age 82 but aga in this may be a different person. Lots of people have his parents as William Thorn born 1428 in Grennock who died 1511 Edinburgh. This WT married Kathleen McDowell 1450 in Edinburgh, she born 1430 died 1500. I cannot see where they get the idea from. Apparently there is a place in Greenock called Thorndike. I think it is one persons idea and the rest have just copied it. I have emailed them all and no one has come back with anything other than "copied".

2498 Tree Lincs 2. On marriage described as single of Strubby

There is a burial for a John Thorndike in Strubby on 11 April1791 (3d p aid) however no age no clue etc. could be this one ora baby etc.
Various people have put his parents as Robert Thorndike and Elizabeth Harr, married 1724 in Irby in the Marsh. Their son John was born 1733 in Dalby - People are linking John from Strubby as there person with a baptism 1737 but I cant find such a baptism to start with.
Another person has allocated John & Hannah (Coupland) m 1739 in Skendleby and their son John born 1744 in Skendlby.

I have sent various messages to people asking for their thoughts re sources. At the moment I am leaving it as open. Most people havent replied. Two have, One Anne Brownlee now in correspondence the others admit to just copying other people.
